Last Fall I fell in love with the look of sleeveless blazers. They can be worn several ways year round and I think it just adds that special something to a simple outfit. However, when I started searching for one to add to my wardrobe I realized that it was really hard to find one ethically made and even harder to find one at a thrift store because it’s a newer style. And that’s when the light bulb went off. I really didn’t want to buy one that wasn’t ethically made and I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one. So I went to my favorite thrift store and picked up two blazer that had the length I wanted. I didn’t worry about the awkward sleeve lengths because I knew I would be cutting them off. I’m no seamstress – trust me. Whenever I search for diy tutorials, the words “easy” and “no-sew” are always part of my search description. And that’s exactly what this was. Easy and no sew. I used a seem ripper and iron-on hem. Not professional by any means but it did the trick. I’m pretty in love with how my DIY sleeveless vest turned out!
