A few months ago, I went on my FIRST EVER mommy trip with my girl Alison of AllThingsAliJ and we had a blast. It felt so good to go to bed and wake up whenever we wanted and just take our time wandering through the wonderful city of Austin looking for the best food and wall murals it had to offer. We both left feeling completely full from our experience but also a little lost now that we were leaving behind a place that we fell so hard for. But that’s just how it is with travel sometimes, right?
Before heading out to Austin we made a bucket list and with only 4 days to get it all done, I’m happy to say, we checked off most of the items on our list. One of the big ones was being able to hit up a bunch of the well known murals and street art spots. Thank goodness for some amazing uber drivers who played tour guide for us. I think they were amused at our excitement. I’m happy if we were able to provide some form of entertainment for them 😉
I’ll admit, this may not be detailed enough to quite consider it a guide but if you’re looking for a few great photo spots in Austin, read on to see my faves.

Not a mural… yes I know. But worth a photo, right?

The Only Magic I Still Believe In Is Love
Just looking through these pics stirs so much emotion. It was hard to leave on a trip without my little tribe but being there felt incredible. I felt like I was able to connect with myself and figure out things like what I want in life when it comes to business and other goals. I guess I didn’t realize how little time I’ve had to think by myself. I love the mama life with all my heart but this trip opened my eyes. Moms need time to play too. And I’m so happy I got to do it with my bud, Alison.
